The Coraopolis United Methodist Church

has an established and well-recognised ministry of music.

The Chancel Choir provides an uplifting and inspirational foundation for each Sunday morning worship service.

The choir enjoys providing special music Sundays such as Sermons in Music and seasonal cantatas.

Our choir is a close-knit musical family that is a strong advocate of outreach work in the local community. We have performed in Heinz Hall and the Byham Theatre, Pittsburgh, as well as numerous retirement homes and residential communities.

We perform many styles of music - often challenging but always fun, and positively encourage new members to join by promoting the Methodist policy of “Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.”

The Coraopolis UMC are proud of their other musical ensembles, the Mary Kay Kennedy Women's Chorale, the Robert E. Harper Men's Chorus, the Handbell choir and the youth Celebration Choir. Each choir perform at least once a month and keep their own busy schedules of concert and educational work.

We proudly host local, national and international recitalists throughout the year, the highlight of which is our Lenten Recital Series that provides an important focus and reflection during this important season.
